Micro vs. Standard Contracts
Micro contracts are 1/10th the size of their standard counterparts. For contract limits, 10 micros count as 1 mini. Micro and standard versions of the same market (for example MES and ES) are treated as the same market for position limits.
Fees
Commissions and exchange fees: $2.00 per side ($4.00 round trip) per mini contract and $0.50 per side ($1.00 round trip) per micro contract.
Trading Hours
All positions must be closed by 4:10 PM ET each trading day. See "Trading Hours and Market Schedule" for full session times.
Contract Rollovers
Equity index futures expire quarterly; energy and metals contracts roll monthly. The platform automatically rolls to the most active front-month contract based on volume.
